AIST appoints Board to May 2014

At its annual meeting held in Pittsburgh, 9 May 2013 the Association for Iron & Steel Technology (AIST) appointed Terry G Fedor II, US Iron Ore Operations, Cliffs Natural Resources, Bentleyville, Ohio, president for 2013–2014. He succeeds past president, Kent D Peaslee.

AIST announced its new executive committee and board of directors during AISTech 2013, the organization’s annual conference and exposition, which was held 6–9 May 2013 in Pittsburgh, Pa., USA.

Other key posts appointed were:

? First Vice President and President elect for 2014-15: Glenn A Pushis, vice president and general manager, Steel Dynamics Inc. – Flat Rolled Division, Butler, Ind, USA;

? Second Vice President: Michael D Garcia, chief executive officer, Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium, Witbank, South Africa;

? Past President: Kent D Peaslee, F Kenneth Iverson Steelmaking Chair, Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, Mo, USA;
